Safety Code
How to participate safely on TraceOne-Nexus: observe, report, and protect yourself and others.
Safety first
TraceOne-Nexus connects Vehicle Owners with a European community that shares useful recovery information. The network works only when Members stay safe and act lawfully.
This Safety Code applies to everyone: Members, Vehicle Owners, moderators, and visitors. By using the platform you agree to follow it.
Core rules
Observe and report. Share only what you can see safely from a distance without putting yourself or others at risk.
Never pursue, follow, block, intercept, or confront a suspected vehicle, occupant, or person.
Never attempt private recovery, citizen arrest, or vigilante action through TraceOne-Nexus.
If there is immediate danger, theft in progress, violence, or a medical emergency, contact local emergency services first.
For community members
Submit Leads and Sightings only when you have relevant, good-faith information observed safely. Do not guess plates, locations, or identities.
Do not share exact private addresses, live coordinates, or identifying details in public comments, feed posts, or social shares outside authorized Lead review.
Use secure in-platform messaging for authorized conversations. Do not pressure owners or contributors to meet in person or exchange personal contact details prematurely.
For Vehicle Owners
Review Leads calmly and through authorized platform tools. Do not use TraceOne-Nexus to organize unsafe pursuit or confrontation.
Work with local police and insurers where appropriate. TraceOne-Nexus supports information sharing; it does not replace professional recovery or law-enforcement action.
Location privacy
Exact addresses, live coordinates, and sensitive home locations remain private by default. Public views use approximate labels and privacy-reduced geography.
Do not try to re-identify private locations from public maps, comments, or metadata. Report suspected privacy violations through platform tools.
Public spaces
Comments, feed activity, and shared Case links are public or semi-public. Write only information that is safe to expose at that visibility level.
Never post threats, hate speech, doxxing, or instructions that could encourage unsafe behavior.
Emergencies
TraceOne-Nexus is not an emergency service and cannot dispatch police or medical help. In an emergency, call the appropriate local number immediately.
Reporting unsafe behavior
Report unsafe content, harassment, privacy violations, or suspicious accounts through in-product reporting tools or by contacting us. Moderators may restrict content or accounts to protect the network.
